Bird Vs. 767 Flap Fairing

Graphic pictures of a bird strike to a composite (Kevlar/aramid + nomex core) flap fairing. Damage found during walk-around. Down-time was 11 Hours to accomplish repair.

That kind of reminds me of the testing NASA did on the shuttle leading edge ... piece of foam hits, and whammo - huge hole ...
