was wodnering, does anyone know who actually manufactures the spotlights that hang from underneath police helos? how much does a unit like that cost? anyone know the same about FLIR turrets?

The Spectrolab SX-5 & 16 would appear to be the leader in searchlights.

FLIR systems (www.flir.com) is probably leader in FLIRs.

Not sure of total costs, but it's tens of thousands for each.
