A320 TE Flap Transmission Fairing Static Wicks.

Noticed that the A320 series have Static wicks on the TE Flap Transmission Fairings.Which the B737/757 don't.
Any reason they considered it.As like the B737/757 there are Static Dischargers on the Wing too.
