When a/c use an assumed temperature to de-rate the thrust for take off does the same setting also de-rate the climb thrust or is this done in another way

I dont know of any that use assumed temperatures for climb, only fixed derates, i.e. CLB1 / CLB2.

No XXXX10, in fact sometimes the thrust will increase from takeoff to climb power, or stay the same (true of the B744).
