I was wondering if anyone knew of any airports that work with their respective immigration bodies and airlines to coordinate passport control wait times with baggage delivery times. If so how are they managing it?

Dunno if other airports are doin´it,but here at STO/ARN they don´t...
Most ground handling companies have specific deals with contracted airlines,as to how long it´ll take after the aircraft has blocked(parked at the gate),before the first bags land on the carousels...
This deal might also state the maximum allowed time for all bags to be offloaded onto the carousels.
But passport control waiting time coordinated with baggage delivery time......ain´t never heard of such a thing.....

Thanks Ratzz. You're right it's a pretty novel idea, as most of the groups that have an impact on the customer experience -- airlines/handlers, immigration/customs, security, etc. -- hardly talk civilly. I'm working with SYD at the moment on a benchmarking study to see how the other top airports (as rated by the IATA Global Airport Monitor) are approaching it.
