I was walking out of ABQ at the baggage claim level and noticed a British Airways sign outside next to AA. I know they are in the One World and codeshare but does that have to due with signs. Any comments on why it might be their is appreciated.

thanks

I can't comment on BA, but I know I have seen a NW/KL sign at the baggage office at small airports (HPN Maybe?) and airports that KL does not fly to (OGG maybe?). They are probably just standardized signs, or it may have to do with the codeshare between BA and AA, and that BA may ticket pax on AA to ABQ.

Passengers aren't always very familiar with codeshare operations and it helps those booked on BA codeshare flight numbers to know where to check-in etc.
