Well I have a friend of a friend who is thinking about pursuing a career as a pilot. He's in his mid 20s and recently caught the flying bug. He loves every moment and seems like he's found his calling in life. However, my friend confided in me that her friend has a history and I'm not sure if the airlines will like it when they do a background check. He has a blemish on his record from his college days. Let's just say he was depressed and did something he now regrets. Thank goodness he didn't succeed. He's completely fine now. Do any of you know how stringent the airlines can/will be? He really loves to fly but is it going to bite him in the bum later on? I don't want to discourage him either because I think he's found what he wants to do for the rest of his life which is fly for an airline.
