Northwest 809 Diversion

Anybody know why NW 809 diverted yesterday afternoon (Saturday 12/29) to KSFO ? This is a daily non-stop from KMSP to PHNL (330 bus) and it seemed odd to me that they diverted over Nevada, then to KSFO. Nothing in local news for the Twin Cities. Nothing on national news. They had filed originally for the nonstop flight, too. 809 subsequently left San Francisco for PHNL.

This is pure speculation, but based on the ground time, it seems likely that there was a m/x issue. I would imagine they diverted to SFO because it's a 330 station anyway, so they have some arrangement for 330 m/x.


I can't decide whether I miss the tulip or the bowling shoe more
