Yeah, even SQ isn't immune to crappy economy seats on long haul flights...  Sad Everything else is as nice as people say on SQ, it's just that I can't sleep in a mostly upright position for 15 hours rubbing elbows with my neighbors the whole way  Wink

They may make aircraft passenger seats, but they are hardly a major player. I have never heard of them before.

They make the first class suites and business class seats used on SQ A380s and 777-300ERs.

perhaps you need to flight somewhere...intl.

When I flew SCL to JFK on a LAN 763....they called their interior "premium interior"....if I'm not mistaken they were supplied by Boeing, but not sure if they manufactured them or not, though I did go coach, their seats were really comfortable...the head rest moves up, down and you can fold the sides, when you recline the seat the back support moves back and the bottom portion of the seat slides forward...also you get your own LCD screen in from of you and a remote to flip the channels and play games, it was all good...

On Delta, I know that most of their newer economy class seats since 1999 have been made by Weber, including the new slimline seats.

Delta's current BusinessElite seats are made by B/E Aerospace on most aircraft, except on the ETOPS 757s, which are made by Recaro, and the 777-200LRs, which are made by Contour Premium Aircraft Seating. The 767 fleet will eventually get sleeper suites made by Thompson Solutions. By 2010, all international widebodies will get the Thompson Solutions Cozy Suite in economy.

The rest, including domestic F, I have no idea.

Don't even try to convince me that ANY coach seat, on ANY airplane, on ANY flight, to ANY place is comfortable............I remember when they were.

Recaro also provides the coach seats for AA's MD-80, 777 and 737 fleet. Along with the first class seats for their 737 and MD-80's.
