Well clearly they didn't start on tha A330's in 2006, none have been done as of today and it's June 2008.

According to contrailsphotography.com there are only 4 767's left to convert, and then the A330's. All other aircraft are done.

Are there any Air Canada folks reading this thread who know when the A330's will start the conversion?

I don't think all the A320s are finished. Their employee website shows 3 A320s due for completion on June 15, June 24 and August 10. Perhaps those are the last of the Airbus narrowbodies.

I doubt A330 conversions will start until after the summer peak. They show the XM A333 seating configuration as 37J/228Y vs. current 42J/232Y. Seat pitch in Y seems to drop by one inch with the new layout to avoid losing more Y class seats (from 32 and 33 in., varying by row, to 31 and 32 in.)

You may be right about the 3 A320's. The contrailsphotography.com site shows a plane "xm'd" as soon as it goes in the shop, not when it comes out. I don't think any non-xm a320's are flying.

Is the "employee website" you mention publicly accessable? what is the URL?

No, it's the AC employee intranet, only accessible by employees and retirees (I'm the latter). Requires a login and password.

That's what I would have thought too, but my program schedule shows first aircraft into the hanger 24June2008 and out by the end of August.

Today it looks like the schedule will slide.
