Quote: Brazilian manufacturer Embraer has postponed its plans to stage a biofuel demonstration, as the test would have duplicated research already performed by Boeing and Virgin Atlantic Airways.
Late last year Embraer said that during 2008 it was planning to demonstrate the feasibility of a biofuel, using native plants as the fuel source. |
The trend seems to be the Biofuel. Virgin demonstrated Palm/coconut based biofuel, ANZ is planning Jatropa biofuel and even Embraer is moving towards this direction.
I have a query. Virgin and ANZ used B747 and one of the four engines were/are being supplied with the biofuel, meanwhile the other three engines uses jet fuel. what will be the scenario for Embraer. One Jet while the other Biofuel or both on Biofuel.
