PVI Now Used On A330-300s

Lately the new sophisticated para-visual indicator has been installed on the Airbus A330-300. It will aid taking off and landing in misty or foggy weather. However they have not began using them on any other commercial airplane.

Is this a heads-up display? Is this similar to the PVD system on MD-11's?
