It seems like a long time for the fire crew to put out the undercarriage fire, did they under estimate the problem?

I don't think so IIRC, they have to sit for a set amount of time before they can attempt to put it out.

I can't wait to see the RJO tests for the 787. That and the crosswind tests...maybe they can be added to the famous crosswind video. Big grin

RTOs are always amazing tests to watch... Not often they intentionally torture an aircraft in that way...

I'm amazed the fire dept got so close with wheels still exploding....
