When the BA 038 777 Trent icing event was being discussed of this forum, a question was raised as to why Airbus airplanes with Trents had never had such an event. Now it appears there has been a similar occurence on an A332.
Airbus is recommending modifications to the Fuel-Oil Heat Exchanger (FOHE) on the Trent 500 and Trent 700 similar to those made to the FHOE on the Trent 800.

Is the Trent 900 on the A380 not effected ? Or is a different Fuel-Oil Heat Exchanger type installed.

Good question and I don't know the answer. Maybe someone who has knowledge of both the Trent 700 and 900 can chime in.
