Hi, I have been wondering on how the FMS calculates the time and I noticed in some of the pics here below that some have the time as 0838.1Z or 1952.9Z. http://www.b737.org.uk/fmc.htm#FMC_Databases What does the .1 mean or the .9? Is that the number of seconds or what? Please help. Thanks.

Quoting Wardialer (Thread starter): What does the .1 mean or the .9?

Fractions of a minute. 0.1 = 6 seconds, 0.9 = 54 seconds.

Tom.

So each point or fraction would be 5 seconds apart??? So the time is actually calculated in each 5 seconds from the FMS?

6 seconds. 60/10 = 6.
