Hi,

hope this hasn't been discussed already, would it be possible that in a few years, when they are old, would A332's be converted to A332Fs? Would the nose gear issue be too costly?

Thanks

Airbus will not develop a nose-gear modification for passenger-to-freight conversion of the A330-200, but instead opt for a simple jacking tool to level the fuselage.

I was just thinking the other day why not just do the standard-issue hacking out a door and installing a freight floor, then just throw a big bottle jack under the nose gear and call 'er good...

What could possibly go wrong?

Funny. Airbus & their quirks. Thanks for the info. Do you think that this proposed ground jacking thing would be a pain in the arse for most freight companies or would it even be an issue?

No, they will get round it.
A lot of freighters need a tail steady nowadays, and the A310 freighter uses a big ballast contraption that bolts on the nose gear, so I don't expect it will worry them.

Well the short bodied DC8 had quite a noticable nose down attitude while on the ground, particularly when light. And these types went on to have a very sucussful freighter career.
