In looking through all the pictures on Anet of A320s and -321s, etc, what exactly is the difference between the models? I've seen A320-211s, -212s, -214s, -231s, -232s, and that sort of thing. Is it an engine difference (I've noticed the -231s/-232s all seem to have IAE engines)?
This question has been kind of bugging me, so if you know, I'd appreciate it! Thanks in advance.

First number: mark of aircraft, for example -100 or -200. Like 747-100, -200 etc.
Second number: engine manufacturer.
Third number: engine model.

Note that the last two digits on Boeing aircraft designate the initial customer.

Partially related......The A320-200 externally does not seem different from its A320-100 except for the Wingfences.Thereafter the A320-200 Bulk cargo door operating handle sequence was modified on the A320-200.
Apart from that there have not been many external mods to the aircraft.

MEL.
