Strange Looking Gauges

on small high wing cessna i notice that in the cokpit near the top of the windw attached to the wing , there ias a auge . anyone know what it is??

I believe what you are describing is the wing flap position indicator. Farthest forward would be flaps up, and farthest rearward would be 40 deg flap deflection.

If it's stuck in the vent tube that comes in from the wing leading edge, at the upper corner of the windshield, then it is the Outside Air Temp guage.

ok well i would think it would be the OAT gauge more than the flap gauge cause the flap gasuge is on the flap lever!!!

Older C150's had their flap indicator on the post next to the pilot, you had to lean around to see it.
