Hello everybody.
I didn't know where to post this thread and, after some thinking, I opted for the tech/ops section, of course if the administrators feel it should fit in another section I have nothing to say against a possible displacement.
I'm writing you to seek help: I am a student currently attending the last year of a Master's Degree in Italy and I am writing my final dissertation about EU's role in the commercial aviation world. The project, basically, is aimed at assessing which is the degree of authority of which the EU is enjoying in several aviation-related fields which important international repercussions such as competition and State aid. It's almost finished by now, I'm just writing the conclusions about he future shape of international aviation networks with a particular focus on agreements like Open Skies and Open Aviation Area. I had the idea of interviewing some senior officials, to get their impression about what the future will bring to the way civil aviation is regulated. Ideal interviewees would come from institutions like the EU Commission Directorate General for Transport, US DoT, Australian and Canadian Ministry of Transport (though it seems that transport affairs are managed at state level in Canada, or at least this is what it looks like). Senior officials from important airlines (i.e. with airlines with interests in both American and European markets) will be just fine.
So, since many of you are working in this field: can you help me? I'll appreciate it immensely.

Talk to the media affairs people at some of the major airlines. I'd expect a fair few will likely ignore your questions as being not important enough - some might be helpful.
