Does anyone have any information that they could share about what to look for in an A & P training center?
I am looking into starting a program as soon as I have some spare money.

Thanks for any input.

Price. The airlines and third party providers don't care where you got it. The major schools are all quite acceptable. Geographically speaking though, you might want to consider Thief River Falls. A good school. You'd learn enough to get a job.

PS : You may think the fabric part of the course, assuming it is still taught, to be a trifle silly. I assure you though, that you can earn a fair bit of money with this skill. It's a dying craft.

Good luck.

Look for one that has a decent track record as well, some of the smaller schools have a tendency to disappear during industry slumps.

It will take a little longer, but you're far better off going to a community college. The private schools will cost you somewhere in the vicinity of $20,000, and you'll get done in about 14 mo., CC's cost about $12-20/unit and usually take 2 yrs. Do the math.

Interview current or former students to see what they thought of the training they recieved. That is better than relying on what a school rep tells you.
