28.97 for the pressure is insane when its not associated with a hurricane or typhoon. When pressures get this low does this effect normal ops for an airline?
This is stuff I've never seen before and apparently the pressure may drop below 28.50 as the night goes on.
To actively root against anybody is just low, and I hope karma comes back at you with a vengeance

Just saw a 28.34 in northwestern Minnesota. I would guess that the low pressures by themselves don't affect ops, but the winds associated with them sure do make for a rough day.
This is apparently the lowest-recorded pressure (with the exception of tropical weather, like hurricanes) for any U.S. land-based weather system - record-breaking. Quite impressive!
