I have question regarding American Airlines 767-200s.

Thier 767-200s have GE CF6-80A
While thier 767-200ERs have GE CF6-80A2

What is the difference in the powerplants.

The difference from memory is 2000lbs of thrust achieved by
a fuel control unit change. A310's use a similar system only
-80A1 and -80A3

It's not really a fuel control change.
The difference between the two engines is a different pin-programming plug on the ECU.

I'll have to dig up my 80A course notes on this one. I thought
EEC pin programming was 80C2.
