I have noticed a that several Netjets flight #'s have a "P" at the end. Not sure exactly what it means and wondered if anyone had any ideas. I do know that is does not stand for "positioning" as I have been on a scheduled Netjets flight that used the "P" designation, but did not get around to asking the pilots.

Thanks!

Its listed in the flight aware forums.

"Netjets aircraft operating with a temporary registration are designated with a "P". This is a Netjets operational thing as it is easier reassign an aircraft on short notice for a trip rather than request a fly wire."

Bingo. Temporary regs can't fly outside of US airspace, and the "P" is a reminder for us not to go outside the borders. This applies to Canadian airspace as well, where most of the excursions have happened.

The cert was issued on Jan 18.

When does the temp reg become permanent?

When the copy of the actual certificate catches up with the airplane.

Knowing the feds, it'll be at least 6-8 weeks for the registration to be updated, and for the certificate be sent.

Those certs have to go from Oak City, to the Puzzle Palace, then out to the airplane. CMH was good about getting them sent out rapidly, but keeping the airplane in one city long enough for the FedEx package to arrive could be challenging. Especially during the busy times.

Took about 6 weeks total.

The plane went thru OKC last Wednesday, maybe they put the cert in then?
