Seems as if the higher floor (compared to a 737) would be a deterrent...you would need more expensive loading gear to go up higher from ground level. However, I guess that it is no worse than a 757

May not be worse in that respect, but the benefits of the 757 probably outweigh this single disadvantage. More range, more capacity, etc... those 757s are getting old though so maintenance could become an issue.
