Quoting planesailing (Thread starter): Does anyone have any reference material or ability to measure the dimensions of the overhead lockers on board 737-800's, 757-200's and 767-300ER's.
I don't know any exact dimensions, however, you need to be a little more specific:
-For the 738, are you referring to the original interior bins or the Sky Interior bins? The Sky Interior bins are larger, however, I don't know exact dimensions as I already stated.
-For the 763ER, are you referring to the original interior bins or the Signature Interior bins? The Signature Interior bins are MUCH larger.
Also, you need to keep in mind that many U.S. carriers have installed overhead bin extensions on their 752 fleets.

A standard 737 bin shelf is 22.1 inches deep and 13.1 inches tall. However it is not rectangular and not all that space is useable. The actual dimensions require you to have a real drawing since there are many radius curves including multiple curves on the door and the back.
If you have never designed an airplane part before, let the real designers do the work!
