I had a job in 2008 working a certain airline and I had my badge confiscated by the port authority because a fellow worker had his badge rejected and I unknowingly took him with me to retrieve an aircraft to bring back to the gate( we had to go through security). I ended up getting a job at Boeing and worked there up til now and 6 months after I started I had to pay a thousand dollar fine for the infraction that happened at LGA. I paid the fine and that was it never heard from them again. Fast forward three years,..I just interviewed for delta airlines MTC and everything is well, im just waiting on my background check to clear. Now my question is, will the infraction I had in 2008 prevent me from getting my badge? If so what can I do?

Usually if you screw up your PIN the alarm will sound and you can just reswipe your badge and enter the correct pin, airport staff may need to verify your badge but that happened to me before.

Delta won't care as long as he can hold a SIDA badge. It's purely administrative stuff for them.
Basically, you just have to wait and see. Based on past experience, it shouldn't be an issue unless the airport still holds a "grudge" against your previous infraction.

Assuming that it was just an innocent mistake in typing in his PIN, it doesn't sound like such a big deal. But let's say his friend had his access cancelled because of some job action - say he was fired/suspended for cause, but tells him "I screwed up my PIN, can you let me in" only to have his friend create some mischief once inside to retaliate against his employer. Not saying this was the case, but taken to an extreme, it could have led to another incident like PSA Flight 1771

I have a SIDA badge for ATL and MSP. MSP's app asks if you've ever held an AOA/SIDA badge and had it revoked. ATL's app doesn't specify. So it depends I guess. IDK where he'll be working.. As for Delta, I don't remember anywhere in my entire process where they asked about the status of prior airport badges.
