I have noticed in pictures of the Bombardier BD-700 bizjet that there is a little bump on the nose. What purpose does this have?

My guess would be a FLIR Camera.

That is the sensor for the EVS system(night vision), which can reduce decision height by 100 feet. Projected on the HUD.

Yes. Thanks for the cool graphic. One note...EVS can reduce approach minimums "to 100 feet" under prescribed conditions. Not "by 100 feet". Sounds similar but when splitting hairs on an approach like this hairs can make the difference.

You will see the same housing on the newer Falcon products and Gulfstream too...but Gulf must it under the radome.

Thanks for the info, that was bugging me ever since I installed the AI model a while back and then again when I saw a good high quality video of a BD-700 landing on YouTube.

What is "AI" model? A scale model? Sorry for the noob question but have been looking for a BD 700 scale model kit and there doesn't appear to be one anywhere?

FedEx uses it all the time, too - it's installed on many of their airplanes.

What is "AI" model?

AI stands for Artificial Intelligence. Most likely, it means he installed it in flight simulator to have someone else around other than himself  .

I suppose now would be a good time to post my first-ever Anet self-pic:
