Does anyone know what routing SK uses to get their 737NGs from BFI? I'm assuming ESSA? And is it a straight shot or is there a fuel stop on the way? Thanks!

Adam

Quoting 71Zulu (Reply 1):
Nonstop

I would think they use fuel tanks and ride the wind to make that, right?

Ride the wind, yes, but they don't run with any extra fuel tanks, just the regularly installed stuff. I haven't seen a 737 with ferry tanks in a looooong time.

Almost all the European airlines have their 737NGs delivered nonstop to Europe from BFI. With no payload, the 737NG can make it with no extra fuel tanks installed.

737NG deliveries to Asia usually go via HNL.

If you have never designed an airplane part before, let the real designers do the work!

Slightly off-topic but what's the furthest distance a 737NG has had on a delivery flight? Would be interesting to know.

Sky Europe took one of theirs 73G on a long BFI-BTS non-stop - 5408mi according to the gcmap.
Search the archives, that must have been around 2006 or 2007.
