Hi all. I understand Bombardier is offering Dash 8 100/300 operators the option of "refurbishing" their aircraft. This includes among other things, a new cabin interior, an overhaul of the hydraulic system and a new "glass" cockpit. I assume this glass cockpit is the same developed by FieldAviation http://fieldav.com/aircraft-modifica...dy-the-dash-8-cockpit-upgrade.aspx I have a few questions on this whole package.
1. What is the average cost of this upgrade per aircraft?
2. How long does the upgrade process take?
3. Has any airline done this upgrade to their aircraft yet?
4. Where is this upgrade process done?

You are said to be a good pilot when your take-off's equal your landings.

Quoting baje427 (Reply 2): Always wonder why when Bombardier switched over to the Q why they did not incorporate the Q400 cockpit across the entire line.
Money.... Bombardier would have to recertify the aircraft. It would not have retained commonality with airlines who had existing fleets of earlier aircraft. Extra stores for those airlines, pilot differences training, etc....
