Hi All,
I know that Hawaiian loves the 717 because it works well on their short inter-island hops, and I've been wondering, using that same logic, wouldn't the 717 work well in the Caribbean on short hops between those islands? And if so, why didn't any airlines that operate in the Caribbean order the 717 when they had the chance?
Or is there something else that would prevent it from working out the same?

I'm not sure they need that kind of capacity. Not sure though.

Well in the Eastern Caribbean the 717 cant fly to DOM, SLU,or ET Joshua in St, Vincent so not being able to operate to those airports would be a major impediment. The 717 would be suited to UP with the hops to MIA,FLL and MCO in addition to being able to reach the East cost of the US
