Further to my post regarding "Captains only" operations at MNL, I would like to provoke comments on the press release given by the Philippine Department of Transportation and Communications :-
"Commercial flight arrivals and departures will also be batched or grouped together to improve runway usage. The plan is that from 7 a.m. to 7:15 a.m., ten takeoffs will be allowed, followed by ten landings at 7:15 to 7:30 a.m. This translates to an additional two to four movements per hour."
Is 20 landings/takeoffs a realistic figure within a time bracket of 30 minutes?

That´s probably right at a "normal" major airport.
But MNL is not such a major a/p unless GA is completely moved to Sangley !
(can you imagine JFK or LHR or FRA ATC trying to squeeze in 10% GA-traffic between the commercial a/c ???)
