Airbus Freighter Conversion

I've heard the A330-200/300 would not be a likely candidate for an conversion due to the pitch up angle of the aircraft floor. It would require an automatic cargo handling system or a jack to be able to load the aircraft. Has anyone heard anything similar?

Yes. This is why the new build 330 freighters have an extended nose gear leg. However Airbus do offer a 330 converted freighter. I'm wondering if this will include conversion of the nose gear.

EDIT: Further reading reveals the gear leg is the same, but it is attached lower.

You can clearly see the fairing for the extended gear in this pic.

Also, would it be more correct to say that the floor pitches down?

They dont actually have a converted 330 yet.
They are still waiting on a launch customer. Does anyone know how this plane compares in payload/range to its competitors?

Airbus has Authority to Offer an A330-200P2F and A330-300P2F conversion option. ST Aerospace is handling the engineering development and EADS EFW will perform the actual conversions at Dresden. The most likely option will be a jack to raise the front of the plane while loading and unloading.

Qatar is expected to be a launch customer as they have been pestering Airbus to offer the conversions.
