UAL 905 Stuck In Istanbul?

Hi

Today I saw UAL 905 being towed to a remote stand in istanbul way after its scheduled departure time. Later when I checked in the internet I could see that the flight was cancelled. Also according to flightaware yesterdays(july 14) flight made a stop at Heathrow. Anyone who knows anything about this?

A diversion one day followed by a cancellation the following day certainly is not good for a route. I'm curious what the reason could be.

Fuel system problem grounding the aircraft.

Yeah on the 14th which was running late anyhow due late arrival from EWR, it ended up dropping into LHR due to a technical issue as well.
