Are there different types of Wifi Antennas for 737s?
On Southwest 737s, there are big dome structures while on Alaska 737s there are nothing visible.
Different types? Different capabilities?

Yes, assuming that you mean the offboard datalink and not the on-airplane WiFi antenna.

The Alaska 737's, I think, are using a blade antenna (looks like a VHF).

It depends on the type of system used. The GoGo system is currently all land based. They use a land phone system that connects up to the plane. While the system WN uses is sat based so they connect down to the plane. The sat based systems are the way forward. I think GoGo is moving to this system so international aircraft can have WiFi capabilities.

Alaska Airlines originally was going to go with the Row44 satellite-based system:

They ended up switching to the GoGo ground-based system.

Southwest and Norwegian Air Shuttle use the Row44 system:
