Any RR Spey MX's out here in a.net land? Wondering how fussy these little devils are and what it would take to inspect and power up an original engine? Strictly for display, no intention for flight.
Looking for the impossible way to save those dying breeds!!!!

How simliar are the Spey's on the BAC to the G-II and G-III Spey's? There are a lot of those still flying so I would imagine there is still some support in some way or another.

Well, I´m not involved in MX ...
But I know that in South Africa there´s still at least one Blackburn Buccaneer airworthy (and active) which has the military Spey engines. The Buccaneer is operated by "Thunder City" and it has a civilian registration.
If your bank account allows you can get a ride on it ...
Might be a good idea to contact them to get more detailed infos regarding maintenance of the Spey´s.
