Polysulfide Based Sealants

The usage of Polysulfide based sealants on electrical terminals over the earlier used Silicone based sealants boast of better Adhesion & less paint flaking, if painted over the sealant.
Anyone having any observations to if it is supposed to be advantagous in terms of application or cure time.
