Hello all,
I am looking for a detailed break out of commercial aircraft manufacturing and assembly costs. Any data that estimates costs for a single platform, for multiple platforms, or for general aircraft type (e.g. narrowbody) would be greatly appreciated.
Please let me know if you have any documents you could email me.

Are you looking for actual dollar quantities, or percentages?
Trolling the financial statements (especially the annual reports) can give you some insight into dollars at the program level. Rule of thumb for percentage breakdown is that 1/3 is engines, 1/3 is avionics, and 1/3 is structure. However, that doesn't tell you how much is parts, how much is assembly, how much is certification, how much is engineering, etc.

Primarily I am looking for a percentage breakdown. Trolling the financial statements hasn't really given me a broad picture of manufacturing costs. I would like to know both the percentage of total cost that is structure, avionics, engine, interior, etc - it would be incredibly helpful to know, at each level, how costs breaks out for assembly, engineering, certification etc.
Thanks for the insight. If you know of any relevant documents or websites, please let me know.
