What's wrong with this VS A343 Fin? It seems that it has been torn apart. Doesn't seem to be a regular check as the photographer has mentioned. Can anyone shed some light?
Plus all the airbus heavy maintenance is done in Manilla - so presumably G-VFAR (which is the only 343 owned by VS) is undergoing some routine Maintenance there.

Quoting anstar (Reply 2): The photographer looks like they may be IN a 777 from CX.
Yep, that looks like the top of a 777 engine.

Looks like the ramp near the Lufthansa hanger, that also looks like the new VS red has been applied.

Zeke,
Are those hinge points for the rudder or has it been torn out. The reason I'm asking is because there are bits and pieces sticking out in the remainder part of the rudder.

Those are hinges and actuator attach points. If you tried to tear the rudder out, you'd probably take the spar out too (the hinges probably aren't the weakest part).
