The sense line is just a tube; it is a pressure tap that connects some point within the engine (in this case, between the 12th and 13th compressor stages) to a pressure transducer in the EEC. These lines provide all the primary pressure data to the EEC.
The blocky thing in the middle of the shot is probably a moisture trap; when you take the hot engine air out to the outside of the engine case you can sometimes get condensation. This can block the tube so they will usually have collection points at the low spots in the lines. Based on the look of it, it might also be some kind of damper/accumulator to even out pressure pulses.

Incorrect. It is the P12.5 Fan Exit Pressure, not a tap between the 12th and 13th compressor stages. It is a option on the V2500 engine. It gives a better analysis of the Engine Condition. As Tom states, that rectangular component, is probably a moisture trap/check valve type component. Will see if a better description is out there.
