Hi,

Just noticed EK 211/212 on the Jan 10th being operated by 77L instead of usual 77W? Any reason?

Thanks!

perhaps a 777W went tech. 77L used to be used all the time... I flew it in 2008.

Any reason?

Maybe they had a moderate passenger load and a freight backlog to clear . The 77L is very good at that over ULH's.

You got a point. Just flew DXB-IAH on Jan 8, and had a row to myself (the row had 2 sets though)- which was very nice. I was surprised because I thought that this flight is usually full at this time of the year. I looked around a bit, but didn't see other empty seats in my section either. May be I just lucked out!
