Airbusish? I think the correct wording is 787ish...

I don't think the APU is being changed on the B-737MAX (I could be wrong). All that is changed is the shape of the tailcone, which the APU exhaust through. This change is more aerodynamic than the current tailcone.

I believe he talks about the tailcone shape. APU should stay the same (more or less, I am quite sure there will be some updating), but some other stuff will change, incl. air inlet I believe.

Indeed; the aerodynamics of the tail section on versions 737-100 through 737-9ER (as in, ALL OF THEM!) are brutally ugly. The dead zone of airflow is so thick back there, that the bicycle seat APU inlet was devised for -200adv aircraft to improve starting, and was retrofitted to most previous -200 aircraft, I believe.
Hideous airflow patterns.

Are you serious right now? It looks just like the 787, which itself isn't particularly different in shape (albeit bare metal rather than painted) from the 757/767.

Come to think of it, it looks quite like the EMB-170/190.

Have yet to see Airbus design anything even remotely like it. So where do you get off starting flame bait?
