Since AA is replacing its 757s with A321's I have a general ground handleing question. In many AA stations the passengers are boarded and deplaned through the L2 door, just forward of the #1 engine. AA likes this because it created a better product for the first class passengers. Many other airlines also use the L2 door on the 757.
I have never seen an airline use the L2 door on the A321, looking at pictures the L2 door on the A321 looks somewhat smaller than the L1 door. Is it possible to use the L2 door on the 321 with a jetbridge?

Yes the L2 door can be used as passenger entry,
but the jetty is verrrry close to Nbr 1 engine.
My airline has decided that it is not worth the risk, and we don't use it.
But if you tow the aircraft onto the gate, or the jetty retracts away from the aircraft then it can be used.
