Several flights departing BEY bound east (Jordan, Gulf) are flying over the Mediterranean > Sinai Peninsula > Jordan; whereas they would typically be routed over Syria > Jordan or Syria > Iraq.
I noticed EK, EY, QR, FDB, are doing that (avoiding Syria); but the most striking one is RJ flight AMM-BEY-AMM, which I guess is doubling the flight time!
I don't think its a security issue, because some flights are still using the Syrian airspace (ME, KU, J9, and EK sometimes). I don't think it's political either, because Syrianair is using the Jordanian airspace, so definitely, RJ is not avoiding Syria for political reasons.

How is then BEY-AMM flown? All the way to Egypt and back over the Gulf of Aqaba / Saudi? Can RJ fly over Israel to Lebanon? (I know RJ flies over Israel from Europe.. but I don't know if they are able to do that on their way to BEY.
