DC9-30 Tail Removal

Need to move DC9-30 over the road to a museum, need to know how to remove tail section, was told there are 6 bolts?? anybody have some jack stands?? plan on using housemoving dollies under the wings, be nice to retract landing gear. No it can't fly has been grounded to long. any retired 9 mechanics want a short term job. plane will move this summer. thanks

I don't think the vertical comes off very easy. I worked MD80 overhaul and never saw it done. The B737 is just 6 bolts and lift it off. The horizontal can come off pretty easy with a crane. It is only connected with the jackscrew mount up front and the pivot bolts at the rear, plus the elevator control cables. and tail heat duct.
