Does anyone know if the doors on the FH-227 or the F-27 were power or manual? I remember when Ozark, and Britt Airways flew into my home town. I just wondered if anyone knows of those main passenger doors where were in the rear of the plane and folded down any help appreciated

They are manually powered. Assisted by springs.

The license-built Fairchild F-27 (the first F-27 to go into service) also had the downward-opening door with integrated stairs.

Thank you for beeing more specific. I tried to make clear that the original Fokkers did not have an integrated stair but only an inward sliding door.

To spare this confusion in future, the correct designations:

Fokker: F.27
Fairchild: F-27
Fairchild/Hiller: FH-227

Also I believe the F-27/FH-227 had a standard door option without the fold down stairs, but no one bought them?
