Simon Lowe, of ThomsonFly 757 engine-cooked and minced bird fame, managed to capture another engine incident at MAN, this time a Thomas Cook 330.

Doesn't look like FOD or suicidal seagulls to me. Compressor stall or shed blade? Nothing seems to shoot out the back but it seems a bit violent for a compressor stall while the aircraft is already accelerating. Sudden crosswind gust disturbing the flow?

In the discussion currently underway in the Civ Av forum, a poster has asserted that the "skeleton" of a bird was found. I'm assuming that said skeleton is finely sliced, but I'm not sure.

I'm tired of the A vs. B sniping. Neither make planes that shed wings randomly!
