I saw that the first flight of the 739 form DAL has deliverd to ATL.
I'm really interested about the new DAL fleet of the -900ER(s)!
There are a few questions I wanna ask
Is it possible to know the actual weights of de new B737-900ER(s)?
Is the new aircraft ETOPS certified?
Is there someone who's able to share the ATC or OFP plan of DAL9939 via mail? (NOT for publication)
The reason I'm asking is that I'm working on report/project for my aviation education (Aviation Studies - Amsterdam)
about Flight planning - US domestic flights. It should be nice if I'm able to get some in side info!

Can't answer most of your questions because I have no idea. I am pretty sure it is not going to be an ETOPS operation. For maintenance there is no ETOPS training required. All the 737NG classes meet the training for the -900ER for us.

All 100 739 will be ETOPS ready from the factory. Initially they will be used on non-ETOPS routes. There is talk of, but AFAIK no firm plans to use the aircraft on ETOPS routes. Most of the 757 that will not be retired from the fleet in the near term are ETOPS so I don't see a need anytime soon to use the 739 on current 757 ETOPS routes. If they decide to use the 739 on ETOPS in the future then they'll have a 739 ETOPS differences class to ETOPS qualify AMTs on that equipment.
