I am doing a patent search to find the first patents of aircraft that are flying today or will be flying soon and not-too-soon.
So far I believe have found four:
1) Boeing 787 Dreamliner (U.S. Design Patent D491,875).
2) Boeing Blended Wing Body (U.S. Patent 6,568,632).
3) Boeing 737-100 (U.S. Design Patent D206,035).
4) Boeing 747-100 (U.S. Design Patent D212,564).
Does anyone know of other patents for current designs? It would be cool to see what Airbus first thought the A320 and A350 was going to look like. Boeing's patent on the dreamliner looks pretty close to what is flying today.
