I need a help for calculating an airport capacity. As far as I've read online, there are some ways to calculate the capacity. It seems calculating the runway capacity is more difficult than calculating the terminal capacity. I have the peak pax numbers for each airport and I take the operating working hours a day is 18 hours.
It sounds all good till now. I found a research paper, suggesting the multiplier calculated by FAA. There're actually 2 multipliers, and I don't know how they're driven. The first one is 0.00045 and the second is 0.0004.
Do you guys know where they come from and how they can be utilized?
I'd be very happy if you help me out.
Thanks a lot.

Thanks guys. Yes, I've read that it depends on many assumptions and it is indeed a complicating computation. I am planing to simplify things. I mean I read that the terminal capacity at Turkish airports is 157m, but I don't know the mathematics behind it.
I will just multiply the peak pax by 16.5 and then multiply by 365. I know it's a rough calculation, but better than nothing?
