Hello everyone,

I will be flying 2 USAir 737's (300-400) in a couple of weeks and was hoping some pilots could help me. I am just a little concerned over the so called rudder problem with the 737. If the rudder is unsafe and needs to be replaced with a new one why do they still fly them? Is there any reason to be nervous? There are so many lives at stake. Any comments would be appreciated.

Think of how many 737 are flying no problem. You will be fine. A mate of mine did the investigation in the land down under, and they came up with no problems!

The rudder "problems" have been overblown from the git-go. Just like lain said. Think of all the 737's that fly everyday. And have since the first one flew.

You have a better chance to win the lottery than crash in a 737...and that's slim and none.
